Research Profile
Our research focuses on economic issues at the interface with methods and technology.
In this context, there are various research groups working on interdisciplinary research questions in six different disciplines:
- Business: accounting, management, marketing, finance and production
- Economy: theoretical and applied micro- and macroeconomics
- Applied Informatics
- Operations Research
- Business Informatics
- Statistics
We work on topics such as sustainability/energy, public health and mobility, particularly with regard to decision-making behavior and predictions across all disciplines.
One of the leading experimental laboratories for neuro-physiological research (KD2Lab) is an important research infrastructure of our department. Furthermore, the DFG-funded graduate school “KD2School” conducts intensive research at KD2Lab. Other major infrastructures include the “Test Area Autonomous Driving Baden-Württemberg” and the research unit “Financial Markets and Frictions”
