New Research Course: Virtual Human-AI Collaboration

How can AI become an effective team member, and how does it affect collaboration between people?

In the new research course “Virtual Human-AI Collaboration”, Master’s students will investigate these questions through their own experimental projects. Working in small teams, they will design and implement an AI-based system and evaluate it in a study at the KD²Lab.

The course covers the full research process: developing a research question and hypotheses, implementing an experiment, analyzing the data, and writing a scientific paper.

 The course takes place in winter semester 2026/27 and is limited to 20 Master’s students interested in human-AI interaction, system design, and experimental research. Registration and topic selection are open until 11 October 2026 (end of day).
